Real Weddings & Events

We love a good vegan wedding/special event here at Fíl Magazine. It doesn’t matter if your budget was $100,000 and you had a vegan caterer flown in or you spent your blood, sweat, and tears creating a do-it-yourself vegan eco-friendly birthday celebration. If your event was not your usual cookie cutter event, we would love to hear from you.

Below you will find our guidelines to help you before you submit your real event or wedding. Once reviewed, simply send us an email at info@myfilmag.com.

Please understand it is up to the editors discretion as to what goes into the magazine and on the website and no we do not accept payment to put your wedding or real event in the magazine.

WHAT IS A REAL EVENT?

We consider real events as but not limited to:

  • Birthday Parties
  • Product Launches
  • Anniversaries
  • Corporate Events
  • Concerts/Festivals

WE LOVE DIVERSITY

You spent several months even years planning every detail of your event and we want to make sure it is reflected throughout your pictures.  Your final photo edits need to be a good variety of detail and people shots. We want to see you getting ready, portrait, ceremony and reception photos but we also want to see the details (invitations, dessert table, etc.) too. We prefer submissions to come from the photographer, as they own the publishing rights to the photos. Final photo edits for weddings and events generally consist of 150 – 250 images. ALL photos need to be a minimum of 1000px wide.

Photos must not have been published on or been submitted to blogs, magazines, newspapers, or social media sites (other than your own website).

CLEARLY LABEL

Your submission email should include an attached zip file OR Dropbox link cut and pasted. To avoid any confusion, clearly label your Dropbox or zip folder with your business name and the couples/clients name.

GIVE CREDIT

To ensure that we give proper credit please supply the business name and website for each vendor involved in the planning and execution of the day. Also, list the suburb, city and state your wedding/event took place at the top of the page.
